Morgan's Message

This month, we're hitting pause on everything because it’s time to talk about mental health. For the entire month, we're dedicating our episodes to mental health and how it affects students. We'll bring educators, mental health professionals, students, and advocates to share stories, insights, and solutions, because change starts with understanding, and healing starts with listening. In this episode, we have a group of student athletes who are also a subcommittee of SALT. The committee is focused on Morgan's Message, a non-profit dedicated to raising mental health awareness among athletes.

How anxiety can show up in kids of all ages

On this episode, licensed therapist Amorette O'Brien from North Star Family Therapy will be walking us through different ways anxiety can show up in kids of all ages and what signs to look out for. 

GBS Student Council

In this episode, we visited Golden Brook School to speak with the members of the GBS Student Council. Advisors Mrs. Haarlander, Mrs. Pellerin, and several student leaders joined us to share insights about the club and its activities.

WCS Gives Back Program

In this episode of the Windham Voyager, we visit Center School to learn about the school's Give Back to the Community program. Mrs. Herard, along with several students involved in this initiative, provides us with an in-depth look at this fantastic program at Windham Center School. 

HS Spring Musical: Anything Goes

In this episode of the Windham Voyager, we welcome show director Alison O’Brien and student director and costumer Abby Lewandowski to the studio to discuss the high school’s upcoming spring musical, Anything Goes. Be sure to listen until the end for a sneak peek of the production! The musical will take place in the high school auditorium from March 21 to 23. Tickets will be available at the door, or you can purchase them online in advance.

Seussical Jr. at Windham Center School

On this episode of the Windham Voyager, we sat down with Janessa Murphy to learn more about the upcoming musical, Seussical Jr., which the Windham Center School Drama Club is proud to present. Stay tuned for a sneak peek from our students at the end of the podcast.

Middle School Overnight Field Trips

In this episode, we are diving into overnight field trips at Windham Middle School. We’ll talk with Mrs. Bailey and two seventh-grade students, Sasha and John, who just returned from a memorable adventure to Outdoor’s Classroom. This field trip was packed with excitement, learning, and memories they’ll carry for years. We will also sit with Mrs. Steward to hear about the upcoming field trip to Philadelphia for our 8th-grade students. All of our podcasts are available on the district website. Enjoy!

Veterans Day Assembly

If you could not attend the Golden Brook School Veterans’ Day concert, tune in to the latest episode of the Windham Voyager!  During this episode, Ms. Fay, the amazing person working behind the scenes to make this event memorable, and a few of our third graders tell us about the Veterans Day assembly.  We learn about the planning, inspiration, and special touches that make this assembly so meaningful. Stay tuned to the end of the episode to hear a special message to Veterans and hear one of the songs from the performance.

Ball in the House

On this episode of the Windham Voyager, we welcomed guests Blake Leister, the Windham High School Choir Director, and senior student Andrew Howes to talk about the WMAA-sponsored event, Ball in the House. This is a fun performance with a special appearance from our Middle and High School choir students.
